A NEW HOME FOR ST. LUKE’S
In 2015, we were led to seek space in Montrose Community Church for our offices and ministry activity. As we did so, the congregation was making a painful decision: with dwindling attendance and being unable to maintain the facility, they were faced with the need to give up their property. After much prayer and discussion, the trustees of Montrose Community Church agreed to gift the property at 2416 Montrose Avenue to St. Luke’s.
We are now in the process of renovating the space to make it accessible to all and a warm inviting facility for God’s mission.
We have hired architects and a contractor, and submitted our plans to LA County. Based on cost estimates, we need $900,000 to fund the entire renovation process.
This funding will help us:
Install new heating and air conditioning units
Re-wire old and unsafe wiring
Fix waterproofing and foundation issues
Add handicap ramps, ADA compliant bathrooms on the first floor, and an elevator for full accessibility
Build a back deck for added communal space
Reconfigure the first floor to accommodate office and classroom needs
That’s just the beginning. We are so excited about what God is doing, and we need everyone’s help to make this dream a reality.
Will you join us in celebrating this harvest of joy?
