Songs We're Singing - June 8 (Pentecost)


This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost - the birthday of the Church. We rightly focus our attention on the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, because it is the breath and movement of the Spirit which actually creates and constitutes the body of believers. The Church exists only because the Holy Spirit empowers her to exist, both then at Pentecost, and today in our context. Let us remember that we are God's church, carrying out God's mission, for God's glory.
