Overview

St. Luke's Anglican Church wants to be Encountering Christ, Transforming Lives, and Demonstrating Love locally and throughout the world.

We at St. Luke's seek to be God's instruments to gather in the lost, bind up the brokenhearted, and set the captives free.  There are people all around us searching for the meaning and purpose to which only Christ can lead them.  We seek to share God's love with these, both locally and globally, to show them that God wants to set them free. Our charge is to care for the poor, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and minister to those imprisoned.  We know that it is in serving these that we serve Him.

Following are some of the local and global outreach ministries we are involved in. For more information, please contact the individuals indicated for each ministry.

Mission Trip to Borneo

We need more team members!

If you are interested in going, please contact:

Steve Krimmel at pstk1973@yahoo.com
or
Vern Vanderpol at vernhiker@yahoo.com

The Borneo Summer Team will run a youth camp for high school through young adults in conjunction with the priests of St. Augustine's, Betong.  St. Augustine's is one of the oldest rural churches in the Diocese of Kuching on the northwest coast of Borneo in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. The camp will be for four days.  It will feature morning and evening prayer along with worship on a daily basis.  In the morning and afternoon sessions there will be teacdhing on basic dicipleship, being filled with the Holy Spirit, defending one's faith, evangelism, and praying for healing.  Teaching will be interspersed with fellowship, games, and activities.  Two of the evening sections will feature speakers that will talk on knowing Christ and being filled with the Spirit.  The other two evenings, the team and young adults will conduct healing ministry in nearby longhouses.  We are also hoping that several retired Anglican school teachers from Sarawak will be able to join us to minister to young people about how to walk as an Anglican in Sarawak society.
